My name is Paul Daly. I was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1978 and now live in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, Ireland.
I am currently working as a software engineer for an Irish bank. I mainly work on UNIX based Oracle systems including Oracle Express (OLAP), Data Warehouse and MIS production.
As well as computers and general technology, I am also interested in music, film, Gaelic football and (occasionally!) soccer.
In my spare time I contribute to various distributed computing projects running under the BOINC platform. BOINC is an Open Source distributed computing system that is used by lots of scientists world wide to solve all sorts of complex problems that require massive amounts of parallel computing.
After crunching solo for some time I decided to join a team. After looking around for a while I decided that BOINC Synergy was the team for me. I joined up early in 2005 and never looked back. As well as some of the best BOINC Stats, signatures etc out there, we have a very active, friendly and helpful membership from all over the world.
Check out BOINC Synergy and drop by the forums to say hi!
